CASTLE ROCK DOWNTOWN ALLIANCE
The Castle Rock Downtown Alliance is a partnership between the Downtown Merchants Association and Downtown Development Authority. The Downtown Merchants Associations focuses on visitor traffic by producing high quality events and the Downtown Development Authority works to further thoughtful development and place making in Downtown. The DMA and DDA share a collective vision of a vibrant and prosperous Downtown.
DOWNTOWN MERCHANTS ASSOCIATION
The Downtown Merchants Association (DMA) is a non-profit organization with a 7 member board made up of Downtown business owners and property owners. The DMA has a membership of roughly 160 Downtown businesses. Their role is to function as the collective voice of Downtown businesses and to organize and produce the events aimed at bringing visitors into historic Downtown Castle Rock in order to increase commerce for Downtown businesses and create a sense of community in the center of Castle Rock.
DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is a quasi-governmental entity that functions as an extension of the Town guided by a 7 member board that is appointed by Town Council. The DDA projects range from beautification to community amenities, adaptive reuse of space to facade renovations, to large development projects. The Downtown Development Authority uses tools such as Tax Increment Financing (TIF) and is guided by a Plan of Development.
