Downtown Castle Rock Business Highlight: Union American Bistro

As a community we are extremely lucky to have a variety of awesome businesses that make up the downtown. We want to shed some light on what makes all these businesses so great.

Welcome to the Downtown Castle Rock Business Highlight! We are going to begin by taking a deeper look into a Castle Rock Favorite, Union American Bistro.

Union American Bistro has been a Downtown Castle Rock staple for years. The restaurant, located just outside the Downtown core at 3 South Wilcox Street, features gourmet american fare, an extensive wine list, happy hour deals and an upbeat venue. While dining options may look different right now, Union has no shortage of lunch, dinner and cocktail options available for take-out and curbside pick-up.

In fact, the restaurant recently launched a Wine Shop by converting their dining room to sell wine, snacks and art. During the Safer at Home orders, owner Kim Heideman, has partnered with other Downtown Castle Rock businesses like The Emporium to provide a tailored menu to pair with a virtual “Girl’s Night Out”, live auction event.

The restaurant has also been active on social media producing live streams featuring local art and giveaways, like bottles of wine. Customers can also find “Friday Food Features”, “Wine Wednesday” (with half priced bottles of wine) and a variety of happy hour deals posted regularly on the restaurant’s social media.
