The Castle Rock Downtown Alliance had the opportunity to sit down with Stefanie Palko, the owner of the Copperfalls Aveda Spa and Salon. Below are a few of our favorite questions we got to discuss with Stefanie.
Why did you choose Downtown/what attracted you to owning a business in Castle Rock?
The vision and revitalization of downtown was the reason we decided on this location 21 years ago.
Favorite place to visit in Downtown Castle Rock?
I love spending time at the incline, the rock, and all the great restaurants downtown!
Tell us the story/background of your business. How did you end up running a business in your industry?
I started in this industry as a sales rep for the Aveda product line. I chose this product line because I believe in Aveda’s passion to care for the earth and use organic ingredients in their products. After working as a sales rep, I noticed that Castle Rock was blooming and would be an excellent place to open a high-end spa & salon. We opened with spa only originally and added the salon in 2008. We have been in the same location since opening 21 years ago and are looking forward to a renovation to enhance the level of experience in the salon!
What is something unique that people may not know about you or your business?
We are a woman owned business that employs 95% females and provides a stable growing income. We love what we do and serving our guest is what we do best!
What are the easiest way customers can support your small business right now?
The best way that customers can support our small business right now is by purchasing gift cards, booking appointments, and purchasing product. Every dollar spent in Downtown Castle Rock stays in the community!
