The Castle Rock Downtown Alliance had the opportunity to sit down with the owners of Damascus Grill. Here are some of our favorite questions that we got to discuss with them.
Why did you choose Downtown? What attracted you to owning a business in Castle Rock?
It seemed like a small town with a lot of potential. And sure enough, it did not disappoint. We love our patrons and the ever-growing community in Castle Rock.
Tell us the story/background of your business. How did you end up running a business in your industry?
Our family started the business in the early 1990s in Denver. Since then, we have owned several restaurants around the metro area. The Castle Rock location is one of the few that stuck. It has been a pleasure to run.
Favorite thing about owning a small business?
The best part of owning a small business, besides being your own boss, is interacting with people that genuinely enjoy a product we created from scratch. We put a lot of effort into our food and it pays off when it delights our customers.
Favorite place to visit in Downtown Castle Rock?
Besides hiking the rock every few months, strolling down Wilcox at nighttime with all the lights and a hot cup of chai is the best.
Favorite day of the year to own a small business?
Starlighting day is the best day to own a business in Downtown Castle Rock. We get a lot of foot traffic and a free firework show right outside the door!
What is the easiest way customers can support your small business right now?
Customers can support us by calling in a takeout order a couple times per month. Whether you are vegan, gluten free, or a meat lover, we offer made-from-scratch Mediterranean meals that suit every diet! We are open 7 days a week from 11-8, except Friday when we open at 3. We have gift certificates and Baklava trays available for the special occasions. We look forward to seeing you soon!
